Job Description: Gwinnett Medical Center is setting a new standard of excellence in Healthcare. Come and join our team and be proud to serve the Northeast Atlanta Community. Initiates, integrates, and oversees a comprehensive patient safety program throughout the Gwinnett Hospital System. Serves as an expert resource on accreditation and regulatory issues related to patient safety. Will direct and facilitate the integration of patient safety via department directors, clinical managers, and others with the purpose of supporting the reduction of medical errors throughout GHS. Will annually review and evaluate the effectiveness of the patient safety program. *zr

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or other clinical field, required
Master's Degree, preferred
2 years of process management or performance improvement experience, required.
2 years experience in a risk management or performance improvement, preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, group facilitation and listening and communication skills required
Evidence of interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with a wide variety of constituents.
At least two (2) years patient safety, health care accreditation, regulatory and certification experience required.
- Ability to develop recommendations and provide consultation to solve problems related to compliance with patient safety standards and ability to exercise judgment in interpreting and applying standards, policies and procedures
